With the continuous expansion of urban population, "urban disease" has become a difficult problem plaguing the design and management of various cities, and the problems such as resource shortage, environmental pollution, traffic congestion and security risks are increasingly prominent. In order to crack the "city disease" dilemma, smart city comes into being.
Wisdom urban comprehensive using rf sensing technology, the Internet of things technology, including ー generation under cloud computing technology, communication technology, a new generation of information technology, to be able to make it easier to perceived domain city, urban resources are easier to be integrated in full, can effectively resolve the question of "city disease", realize the sustainable development of cities.
As a bridge for the construction of smart cities, sensors have been pushed into the "tuyere" again by the construction plan of smart cities and the Internet of Things since the release of the 13th Five-Year Plan. It is predicted that in another ten years, the number of smart city terminals will reach 40 billion. There is no doubt that smart city will become another hundred-billion market in the sensor industry.
In order to strengthen urban refined management, at the launch conference of Jing 'an District for the construction of new urban Internet of Things and the partner conference of "Big Data and Urban Management Project" held in February 2018, Shanghai proposed to deploy 500,000 sensors to speed up the construction of "urban brain", break data barriers, and realize timely and intelligent disposal of various problems and risks.
Sensors have been installed above and below ground and on manhole covers in Beijing's Zhongguancun West District to lay out a "nervous system" for the construction of an "urban brain". In the West District of Zhongguancun in Beijing, 230 comprehensive sensors for toxic and harmful gases have been installed in the above-ground and underground areas, which are used to monitor hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen, methane, ethane and other gases. A total of 290 sensors for monitoring well displacement have been installed under the road manhole covers on shafts such as thermal Wells, gas Wells and water supply Wells along main roads in the west of Zhongguancun.
As the rain and rain season approaches, Hong Kong plans to apply smart sensing technology and install 8,000 sensors to monitor the stability of trees and prevent accidental tree collapse in order to safeguard tree health and public safety.
The use of sensors makes the city easier to be perceived, so as to realize the fine and intelligent management of the city, reduce resource consumption, reduce environmental pollution, eliminate security risks, and realize the sustainable development of the city.
Currently, 500 cities are under construction in China, and the country plans to cultivate 100 new smart cities between 2016 and 2020. As an important technical means to obtain information, sensors will play an important role in the construction of smart cities and cracking "urban diseases".
With the in-depth promotion of smart city construction, sensor industry will usher in a larger market. Experts expect the compound annual growth rate of the country's sensor market to reach about 30 percent in the next five years. It can be said that smart cities and the Internet of Things will be the important application markets of sensors in the future.
At present, the sensor industry is in a critical period of upgrading, sensors need smaller, more intelligent, more networked, more systematic, more functional products. With the independent innovation ability of domestic enterprises and the support of national policies, the development prospects of sensor industry in our country will be great.
